The American Peace Information Center (APIC) hails the victory over US intervention in Venezuela with the election of Nicholas Maduro as president. Maduro’s victory shows that Venezuela is not a colony of the US. This election is another nail in the coffin of American imperialist interference.
This election is a victory for the anti-imperialist forces of the world over American intervention. In spite of US proclamations against its legitimacy, the world has declared the election to be free and fair.
It is common knowledge that opposition to the process of the Bolivarian Revolution was funded by US economic interests.
There were 910 international delegates overseeing the electoral process in Venezuela who agreed that there was no electoral fraud, including several delegates from the American National Lawyers Guild. They observed thousands of voters participating in the election at polling centers and declared that there was no electoral fraud.
The American Peace Information Center opposes the street violence of the extreme, right-wing Venezuelan armed groups. These anti-social hooligans destroyed infrastructure and caused numerous injuries and even deaths.
Washington plays by its own rules… Any result other than the victory of their anointed candidate is unacceptable to them.
